Counselor

Greetings Creekside Families!

My name is Natalie Henderson, and I am so excited to serve as your school counselor this year! I'm here to support all students in growing academically, socially, and emotionally while helping them develop the skills they need to thrive both inside and outside of the classroom. This is my first year working in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District, and I feel honored to be here. I am split between two school sites, so my schedule here is Thursdays, Fridays, and alternating Wednesdays.

At Creekside, I work with students through:
- Classroom guidance lessons on topics like kindness, emotional regulation and problem-solving
- Small groups that help students build confidence, friendships, and coping skills
- Individual check-ins to provide extra support when students are facing challenges
- Collaboration with teachers and families to ensure every child feels seen, safe, and supported

My goal is to make sure every student feels connected, safe, and capable of reaching their best potential.

A little about myself: I'm originally from Southern California and recently moved to the Bay Area with my husband and 2 cats, Whimsy and Klaus. I earned my Master's degree in School Counseling through Grand Canyon University, and have had the joy of working with students across elementary grade levels in various school sites. Outside of school, I love spending time with my family, exploring local coffee shops, going to bookstores, and hanging out with my cats.

I feel so grateful to be a part of the Creekside community, and can't wait to get to know our students and families better this year.

Warmly,
Natalie Henderson
