Checkout service has resumed for the new 2022-23 year!
We are always looking for volunteers for the Library, if you are interested please contact me, your classroom teacher, or visit us at registration. It's a great opportuinity to see your child during their Library time and help the Creekside community. Kindergarten volunteers are especially needed. Training for long term volunteers (Shelving, book repair/preparation, etc) will be early this year (More details to follow).
Please check the Creekside Destiny Discover site for new titles available in the Library. To view your account on Destiny: login with your student portal login (used to login to Chromebooks). If you do not know your students login please contact the office and we will be able to help you.
Campus students will currently not need to place holds and will checkout normally through class every two weeks. Please be aware your student may be bringing home library books.
Library Hours are currently:
Monday -Thursday 8:30 am - 2:00pm (Closed Fridays)
The external Library door is no longer available for service during school hours. Please use the main office door for all inquiries.
Note: Students cannot checkout books if they still have overdue materials from last year, please check your home.
To drop off overdue or lost books simply return them to the main office.
Our in person Book Fair will be held October 3-7th. We are looking for volunteers through the PTA. Please sign up for PTA for more information.
We are taking all District precautions and using PPE when preparing Library materials for our students.
Please contact me if you need a checkout extension beyond the standard 2 weeks.
Fines for lost books should be payable by check to Creekside Elementary School. Please put your students name and 'Library Fines' in the notes. Checks can be dropped off directly at the main office. We do not accept personally purchased replacements at this time as most Library purchases need to be higher quality, covered materials.
